Majelis Azzahir was established by Habib Ali Zainal Abidin Assegaf in 2004. Each Friday Kliwon, the assembly holds a reading of the Maulid of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) following the Friday prayer at his residence located at Jalan Toba No. 53, Pekalongan, Central Java, which now serves as the Secretariat of Majelis Azzahir. Over time, the sessions, initially conducted on Friday afternoons, were shifted to Friday Kliwon nights and expanded to include fiqh and akhlak studies in accordance with the guidance of Al-Habib Muhammad Luthfi bin Yahya.

In addition to the regular gatherings held on Friday Kliwon nights, Majelis Azzahir also engages in various activities, including Maulid safaris to several locations in Pekalongan district, elsewhere in Central Java Province, and other cities.

This application has been developed to facilitate users in listening to and reading along with the sholawat recitations performed by the Azzahir Pekalongan hadroh group anytime and anywhere. Furthermore, the application includes the Simtudduror Maulid book and a comprehensive collection of sholawat texts.
